Blue Christmas

Topic: SadPoetry

Christmas time again
A time ment for happiness and joy
But every now and then
I remember the love between one girl and one boy
As I hang the tinsil on the tree
All I can think about is "You...&...Me"
How this tree used to be put up by two
But now there is no longer a me...and there is no more you
The time that I miss you the most
Mistle toe hung...where we used to kiss so close
This season is no longer as merry you see
And there are no such feelings of glee
It's just me this tree and a picture of you
Who ever new Christmas could be so blue
I baked cookies
Just to eat them myself
I'm a mess just look at me
Nothing can make me smile...Not even santas elf
40 years together and still loved like we were 21
But without this love there is no fun
Ever since we had to depart
But I'll put up this tree and have a smile on my face
And know in my heart
That you will soon be in a better place

In memory of Hendry A. Miller

Splendid piece of work from her point of view. That is rather hard to do and have it come across well.

Sassy
