In order to move ahead
Must face darkness
Dreading to go forth
I tread past resentments thorns
To the tower
Which houses
My heart
Each stone built from pain
Opening Pandoras box
Of past travesties
I must now forgive
And empty myself
Only by doing this
Can I find my path
Opening the window
So light can fill my soul
I pray for the strength
And the courage
To complete this task
Only then will I be healed
