You can pay for almost all you need
The counsellor's listening ear
A sex worker's parted legs
But still so much to fear
The therapist always offers tea
She neglects to make it sweet
I move chairs to map my fragmentation
And so our eyes they never meet
I leave the room no longer drained
My spirits seem quite lifted
Self-esteem no more the problem's root
Maybe the low mood has shifted
I check my mobile with fresh hope
No new messages come in view
So soon I feel low yet again
The signs of progress are so few
I will not depend on anyone
My God I will not name in human tongues
I will go to the River Jordan and strip naked
And let the water fill these barren lungs
The call might come in a still small voice
If the turmoil could just cease
I will meet you one day very soon
And know that inner peace

| Yes you certainly will my friend. Thank you for this peaceful write.. once I mentioned the River Jordan on a game site and got kicked off for a couple hours lol. I gather the host was not a christian lol. RL |
