All the voices seem to fade As I look into the maze Of my life's abysmal shade Where everything becomes a haze
Mindless thoughts of space and time Ageless places still to find Mangled, mixed into a rhyme We are the poets; the colorblind
Words put to a steady beat Countless eyes will seek to read Never put down until complete To this task I must concede
Never caring that I don't know Where I'll stop along this road Many miles still to go To lay down my heavy load
And in this message I conclude: To one thing you must be true A simple thing, though misconstrued I can see it there, do you?

I like this poem a lot. Its about us. The poets of the world put into words what others feel. We are the translators of emotions. We have an esoteric language and I love it. |
