5 shots of whisky will be needed tonight
5 shots of whisky to keep these blues out of sight
1 shot to help me swallow my pride
and sweep all these emotions to the side
1 shot for the good times 2 hearts had known
and to forget how far 2 hearts have grown
1 shot for the tears this ol' boy has cried
and for all the lonely hearts that have died
1 shot for the memories and love we once made
and to get over how they both seem to fade
1 shot for the mourning when all this becomes real
and to help drown all the sorrow I feel
yeah 5 shots of whisky will make all the wrong feel right
so go ahead and pour me 5 shots of whisky tonight

Five shots of whiskey will only make it worse. For tomorrow when the whiskey's worn off, the reality is still there only the hangover makes it worse. Deal with the issues, file them away, and I promise, love will find you, and will be truer, one day. Five shots of whisky bring only more pain.

I like the originality of the theme, it's definitely not business as usual. The formula works, having a short stanza representing each thought and each shot.
There's a few rhythmic hiccups here and there, but nothing that is a deal-breaker. You've definitely shown a spark of originality, and i'll be watching out to see what you do next. I can see some really good things coming from your mind in the near future.

| I love whisky okay so I like jack and coke but that is besides the point. The whiskey only helps for a little bit b/c once you sober up you will only feel the pain again but hey that's when you can take 5 more shots. j/k Good write and it's about time somebody writes about whiskey.. |
