Resurrection

There were things in the past that were always haunting,
hurting, scratching, digging deeper flaunting,
only way to begin anew,
would be to let the past be past,
forgive and forget,
as someone tought me.
My old life was interferring with what I could be,
what I always wanted, was just to be free,
a new found happiness, mirthful laughter and joy,
sought so after for many to enjoy.
Then she came over my path of distress,
made it better - the suffering less,
she tought me new ways, new insights, new beliefs,
I wish to thank her dearly even in her grief.
So many things have been said, but now they are gone,
forgotten, relieved of the stress, forgiven what went wrong,
now I'm ready for a new life, a new dream, a new beginning,
through God I have been resurrected and once again living.
