Still waters run deep

Still waters run deep
Thats what my mother said
As she kissed me on the cheek
As I laid upon my bed
She would say
They may not hear you now
But life isn't all about today
No matter how much they disavow
Aknowledgment will always find a way
Your way too pretty for those tears to be on your face
And way to witty to let your intelligence be unembraced
One day you will be known
And your name will not be forgotten
That will be the moment you own
And once you start there is no stopping
See...
Still waters run deep
And some never end
But for now my child just sleep
And let your life impend

Very nicely done. That saying has always held a special meaning for me, so the title drew me in. I like the way you wrote this...My only gripe---some typo's throughout. Double check your spelling before posting next time around...Keep it up!

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
