If only I was tall enough, To reach that lonely lock, I have the key to your heart, If you would only knock. The key is understanding, And the lock, bitterness, To open up that door, And expose the loveliness. But alas, Im not tall enough, You put the lock up high, If only you would come and help, Then I could even try. But here I am, by the door, Amidst a lonely sea. So I soon grow weary, And toss away the key. And sail away, so far off, Through squalls of pain and parting, While I make my way, leaving, Not even close to crying.
