Listning to him
Pour out his lonely heart
But knowing I don't feel the same
It's all I can do
Not to think about you
While he's handed to me on a silver plate
But you're the reason I don't want him
Recollections forbid me to move on
'Cause he'll never be
What you were to me
And it's worse 'cause you're not gone
I see you every morning
And your brief presence is with me all day long
It's hard now to forget you
When these feelings are still so strong
I see it in your eyes
Every now and then
A regret or a longing, lonliness maybe
And I wonder sometimes
While I'm listening to him
If you ever see it in me
It's there, and can only be cured by your touch
It's amazing to me
That I still think of you this much
But true as it is,
It changes nothing between you and I
So I'll endure listening to him
Pour out his lonely heart-
And knowing I don't feel the same
But that I can't have you instead-
So I'll sit here and silently die
