her hair was auburn her eyes a deep brown
we were nearly neighbors in a one horse town
we met in the springtime when blossoms unfold
falling madly in love at fourteen years old
i gave her my heart and the keys to my soul
but loving so young began taking it's toll
i love you and i'll miss you is all i could say
then tragicly two young lovers drifted away
big river of change, flow if you must
but i'm not letting you leave love in your dust
it's been nine years today since true love had begun
and after nine years today i still love someone
