Put two fingers down my throat To force the vomit out Flushed but relieved These words are forced too From vague memories Plagarised intellect An empty soul Will they scatter my ashes? Perhaps I am dead already? I saw life once only I glanced across My son's attention fixed On a trapeeze artist high above His face was transfigured I stole his glory I began to exist but never wrote again

Why is it that youth is wasted on the young. By the time you appreciate it your too old and jaded to enjoy it. Great poem |
