I cannot even tie these shoe-laces Robert Johnson's ghost is stalking round I'm reaching for the telephone to summons some aid Doctor please be at the other end
The darkness embraces all I can see and hear I have withdrawn deep inside myself Love and hate can't reach me anymore The pen even falters as it glides across the page
Pour another drink, light another cigarette I won't answer the door when you rush to my aid Don't agonise or speculate over the choice I have made Baby it just ain't worth it
