Why is it
that you don't believe me?
Is it the smile,
or is it the tear
that throws you off?
Did I do something
wrong in the past
that causes your
mistrust?
Or is it something
that someone told you
about me,
that pulls you away?
I've spent
every waking breath
trying to convince
you of my true nature.
Maybe
I just need to show you
my scars, the ones
that help me forget about you.
Don't worry
these tears are tears
I shed for you,
so that maybe one day
you might be able
to believe in me again...
...one day.
