Those Underground.
Can hear them hissing, late at
night when walking home from
the bar. *****, fighting, eating
each and screaming obscenity
to the God that made them sewer
rats. They are waiting for a new
messiah who will lead them up to
daylight, to the pledged land of
gardens, houses and larders full of
food as promised in an old fable.
