MY RECOLLECTIONS OF GROWING UP ARE FOND ONES IN A PLACE THAT ALLOWED AND FORGAVE YOUTHFUL INDISCRETIONS WITHOUT BLANKET JUDGEMENTS.
MR. ROSES PREP SCHOOL WAS MY FIRST FORMAL ENCOUNTER WITH THE WORLD OF LEARNING, ALL PREVIOUS LESSONS WERE TAUGHT BY MOM AND GRANDMA AND REINFORCED WHEN THE NEED AROSE.
THE MATRIARCHS RULED WITH UNWAIVERING DISCIPLINE, BUT TEMPERED IT WITH A LOVE UNMATCHED STILL. GRANDPA HAD A QUIET DISPOSITION THAT ALMOST NEGATED HIS PRESENCE.
MOST OF THE INHABITANTS WERE DESCENT AND GENUINE WORKING PEOPLE WHO BEHAVED MORE LIKE CLOSE RELATIVES IN A LARGE FAMILY.
IN MANY WAYS I DEFINE MYSELF BY THIS PLACE AND THAT TIME IN MY EVOLUTION. THIS TOWN HAS STAYED WITH ME THROUGH ALL MY EXPERIENCES AND I HAVE NEVER LEFT.

Dear Cedric, I feel privileged to have read your composition about your hometown. I don't know if you do or not, but you should write ALOT, such as the one done here, about your home and your people. It will be meaningful to your people. Best wishes, Bizzy |
