You and Her

Contributed by drapes on Saturday, 7th January 2006 @ 10:39:33 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

She sits in your lap like the Queen of eternity.
You hold her so tightly. So securely.

I see the way you look at her,
The adoration in your eyes.
I see the way she looks at him.
Do you not see it, or do you just block it out?
She gazes at him with a heavy sigh
And you squeeze her hand without a doubt.

You nibble on her fingers,
Too caught up in her to see
That shes really wishing to be with him,
With a silent plea.

Putting aside your friends and family just to be with her, cuddling.
Maybe she figures youre better than nothing.

But youre so far from nothing.
I dont see how she can compare,
The daily presents you give her and the thoughtful Christmas bear.

Shes cheated on you before and messed with your mind once.
She doesnt deserve to be with someone like you. And you shouldnt have to be with someone like her.
Shes just gonna break your heart with her selfishness.

I wish you could see how unfaithful she can be.

I would know how to appreciate someone as sweet as you.
And I would take you the way you are, unlike her, always telling you what to do.

So when she breaks your heart
And youre over her finally
Ill still be here waiting
For it to be just you and me.
