As I walk the leaves crunch under my feet and thoughts of
you race through my mind, the street are so silent at this
time of night that even the whisper of my thoughts can be
heard and as the winds blow you hear the rustling of the
leaves that were just crunching under my feet I turn
around all I see are the headlights that caught me like a
deer on the highway, and my thoughts of you disappear
as the lights approach and the horn starts to honk, the
ruslting of the leaves no longer attainable only honks,
shouting matches and sirens as the neighbors pour out of
their houses rushing into the street, And you weren't there
to save me or to see my mangled body lying in the street
to see my blood stained on the grill or to see the
ambulance rush away with me and once again hear the
rustling of the leaves that has returned after every one has
turned away, you weren't there for any of it but do you
feel special knowing that my last thoughts were of you?
