Mirror

Topic: insomniac

My life is like a mirror
It reflects anything you want to see
And nothing you dont
But there are times that mirror breaks
And others can see what is hidden
Behind blind eyes
So I pick up the pieces
Of thy life and spill more of my life
I see the bloody chaos of my life
And loathe it

I try to smash it
Until there is nothing left
But I lose more blood
And do more harm then good
I just want it all to end
The pain,
The magnificent
All-consuming pain

With this last contemplation
Running through my head
I see all those around
And how Ive let them down
Now it not the time
I must not be egotistical
I must stand tall
And be who I want to be

Not everyone dear, you could never let me down.

I must stand tall
And be who I want to be

I'm glad that you feel that way now, that you see that you just have to be yourself and ***** everybody else. And, hopefully, you'll find that someday you'll no longer need your mask either.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
