To My Unknown Daughter-in-law

Contributed by Lin54 on Tuesday, 10th January 2006 @ 04:20:48 PM in AEST
Topic: dedicatedpoems

We do not know each other, because our solitary paths have not entwined
Yet you are alive and being special-fashioned in Our Heavenly Father's mind
I will pray for you just the same and know you will be a part of our lives
The appointment of the meeting of you and our son is when God contrives
Anxious though I am, I will place my simple trust in the Lord above
Knowing His perfect timing is going to enrich the bond of love
You will find you are most welcome in our goofy family group
Please know that we are all looking forward to add you to our troop!
Goofy though we may each be, we are uniquely created by the Master's hand
The same Master's fingers develops the one-you- according to His divine Plan
Our son, even now, misses having you as part of his heart
We all hope to meet you soon and see the joy you fill him with start!

The title alone made me cry, I continued to read it and cried more, I felt your heart in each word of each line. I wish my mother in law had written it, but still I love mine. YOU are a very very very special woman to start praying to GOD for the daughter in law he chooses... I love that. HE CHOOSES you don't. that is what makes a beautiful mother in law is to know that god does. I am a mother of four. one is a son. I would love to copy this poem and hand it to my daughter in law one day.. THANKS for being the kind of mother in law to pray for the future.. SHE WILL LOVE YOU AS I DO..TO bad you can't be my mother in law.. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
