The People of the Fading Moonlight

Contributed by the_story_of_the_year on Thursday, 12th January 2006 @ 01:24:00 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

There's another world you don't see
The people of the fading moonlight
They're living when you're asleep
They're out from two to five
Home at six on a good night

Invisible people you had no idea existed
Stay out of trouble
Try not to wake your slumber
Keep humble and never wonder why
They chose to live by the streelights

They breate an easy, free air
They live life to the fullest
Because nobody cares about them
Except one another

It's a secret
But feel welcome to come
However, keep one promise
Don't tell anyone

This is excellent. It becons to the reader to come and join the "invisible people," whomever they are. It also reminds me of sneaking out at night when I was in high school :)
