every cry for help, ignored
i begin to fade away
i didn't ask to be born
but now that i'm here
who's asking me to stay?
misunderstood and shunned
for differences i can't control
"they" don't see me as a person
but, as a monster with no soul
despite "their" hatred, i carry on
although, i don't know why
for, though they smile and say "i love you"
i know it's all a lie
i'm sickened by my self-pity
and how i rarely make a stand
"they" think that i'm sick
"they" all call me crazy
but "they" won't even try to understand
and if i ever give up,
just to be left alone with my pain
"their" hatred may find other targets
but, the scars will always remain
