You were my first influence.
Best friends for so long.
Thus now, I'm older, you're older.
We've changed.
And sighs are passed.
Truths soon turn into lies.
But did you ever think about me in these past three years?
Did you ever miss me?
I know I did.
And sometimes I cried.
Because my best friend was gone, just like that.
It's like God just swooped you away,
Away from my life.
From my soul.
I hid under my hat,
Wishing I could find you,
Searching around,
Hoping to see you.
I wonder if you're happy.
I assume you are,
But is that your full honesty?
I was lost.
And confused.
Completely in need.
You were my first hero,
My first crush,
My first friend,
My first truth.
And I'm just wishing I could fiddle with your fingers,
To glance up into your gentle eyes.
To escape from reality and remember back when we were seven and nine.
Don't forget me.
Because for you, I've crossed the line.

Friends come and go, that's the way the world is. Even if you are always there for friends, not everyone is that way
