I packed up my feelings for you last night
Because I know you can't ever love me
And I think I'm gonna be sad for awhile
My hearts so dark right now, I miss the light
It's lonely all the time with no one beside me
And I think it's gonna be a long, long time
Till someone comes around that says they love me
I'm not the optimistic man everybody think I am
Well I guess that I'm a loveless man
A loveless man that cries himself to sleep at night
Love aint the kind of thing to make you smile
In fact it has sliced my heart so many times
And left it on the floor to bleed in front of me
Now I just want to know why love doesn't work
I put it together and then it crumbles into pieces
And I think it's gonna be a long, long time
Till someone comes around that says they love me
