If beauty is love, and love is beauty
The world I built has burned to ash
My realm of lies dissolves before me
The earth, with force, my tongue does lash

If you are mine and I am yours
The earth, with force, my tongue does lash
The prick of pain my breast ignores
If you are mine and I am yours
Then love is sex and sex is love
The prick of pain my breast ignores
The lull of peace my form rejects
Then sex is love and love is sex
Comfort's ease in denial's wake

A lover taken simply for love's sake

Nice!
Though I don't agree with your poems stance on love (yours?)...I really really like the feel of the poem. It flowed nicely and the overlying atmoshphere was like black flowers and lace. Mmm enjoyed. Thanks |
