He knows he can't satisfy all the pain she has inside
So why does he stick around?
Another bottle tipped onto the floor,
another pool of blood waiting to be noticed
Another hit off the joint
You know the one, it dangles outta his mouth
just like your heart...
In his teeth
was your innocence
played so hard against his manipulative words.
Play me again, lover
Bend me and twist me into a million pieces
Do you think it would make a difference?!?
I look away
I won't believe you, you know
if you tell me I'm beautiful
Those words are like poison
And alcohol the only catalase I have
to protect myself
He said "Were you crying?"
That didn't hit me for a long time
But now I question it all
I'll never ever win
So just take what you want...again
