Hawks Dream

Contributed by NoSaint on Thursday, 19th January 2006 @ 01:56:30 PM in AEST
Topic: mystical

She watched the hawks
Flying over the field
Wondering what
Their hunt would yield

Always amazed
At their style and grace
She loved their feathers
And the cut of their face

It was early
On a hot summers eve
What she saw next
She could not believe

A hawk landed
In the field nearby
Raising his wings
To the heavens on high

He let out a squawk
Then instantly changed
Into a handsome man
She thought she was deranged

He walked up to her
And gave her his hand
Saying, come with me
We will leave this land

So together they fly
Over field and stream
Was this reality?
Or just one beautiful dream
