We were tired
driving down the highway
for days
and as fate would have it
we slept in the car
on the Motel parking lot
But when we got
to the Salinas Valley
we were surrounded by the softest
green velvet I have
ever seen
Hill after velveteen hill
and even to this day
and even still
I want to see that again
Just to be sure that
it was real

If this peom were a picture it would be a beautiful little water color painting, i was captivated by the tittle and so i read it and it was so vivid, green by the way is my favorite color lol. a most splendid little peice of writting.
