I saw you in a picture.
I decided it was to be my own.
I chased you into the wind it seemed,
But I finally caught you, in a net or in a dream.

This dream seemed to be forever.
At least I had hoped it to be true.
But I lived my life inside us,
And watched my life melt into you.

The picture never aged, then,
As if I was inside a headlight,
Burning ahead for a search inside me.
I saw you standing, just waiting, just free.

I felt like a complete puzzle.
With all the hard pieces found,
You found a light inside me.
Kept my head in the clouds and my feet on the ground.

I am high on all the values,
That I lost and considered dead.
You subconciously guide me,
And deal with my fantasy-filled head.

The picture rests on a beach.
And you and I lying on the sand.
Not really lying to ourselves...
But, realizing that together we can stand.

And then there was beautiful color.
Like a painting, we spread ourselves not-thin.
Not word of detestation,
But the world's most sweetest sin.

But, beautiful become we.
And, color floods the streets.
My life becomes another motion.
Inside your head but notice, kicking to the beats.

The pictures seem to correspond with,
Things often left unsaid,
But unsaid always answers,
I love you, inside of my awful head.

For you see it tries to trick me,
With actions that seem obscure.
But inside the picture you find me,
My antidote, my only cure.

It is crazy the way we notice.
All the time when we are never there,
But, deep inside my pictures,
I can smell your skin, your mind, your hair.

Very good :)

sounds like pure, bittersweet memories.

You're brilliant at painting mental imagery.

Keep it up!

...nicely told...I've lived a great deal of my life in just such a picture...so much of my life I've felt like I was acting...

...this one reminds me of several a few of the ones I've posted...'Schitzophrenic's Delight'...'Collection'...'A Dream Imbedded'...'Sandy Beaches'...I like your because of the depth you took it to...

...thanks,

ron...enigma
