Tender Souls
Worn by the winds the forest reluctantly sheds her golden cape. Proudly, her trees stretch their fingers to the sun, bowing and crying to no one. But in the glow of the midnight eye, their tender souls, groan and cry, as they ponder their children, silently slipping, one, by one, by one, to the world below.

This is a very interesting analigy, very metaphorical and true. This is pretty good. An extra stanza would have made it even better.
