My world is of flowers and fluff, Streams of blood, skipping and stuff, All there to pick up, Swinging the sledgehammer in my other hand. I keep trying to climb to the sky's top, As the rest falls back to the land A couple crude things but I forge on ahead, Less to fall from my heart of lead. The armor comes off though ever so slightly, Brightness shines through within the cracks lightly. Days of hate are leaving, My lungs have started breathing, Breaking free and able to smile, For once things make this life worthwhile.

Even though I don't like happy poetry because I can't relate, This poem was actually quite nice. Good Job! |

Wow, more people should read this. I loved it. Great metaphorical (I'm assuming) imagery. I love 'swinging the slegehammer in my other hand'. Awesome write. 4.5/5
PS. nice rhyme scheme. |
