Who's got my back anymore?
I see no shadow next to mine
Maybe we all just have no time anymore for each other
No one can make it through this life in one piece on their own
Everyone needs to love
Everyone needs a home
A place to call their own
Wherever that may be
I was naive to never think of myself this way
Now it's up in my face and I'm running out of time to decide
I'm not sure who controls my fate
We've turned those who I should love into everything I hate
Nobody can be themselves
And that's the only person I can love
Don't love yourself too much
Or you'll have no more to give to anyone
But don't be like me
Or you'll lose before you've even begun
