Notice Me

Topic: SadPoetry

I thought Id be able to hang on.
I should have known that your love for me would pass.
I guess theres no changing feelings once theyre gone.
Im still foolishly living in the past.

When you used to notice me.

Seems you loved me when I wasnt so broken down yet.
I cant recall when or why,
But now theres nothing left.
Its not here tonight.

You dont notice me.

How was your day?, maybe youll ask back.
I undress right before your eyes, you dont even glance.
And I stare at you for hours, you never react.
Take a shower, but you dont take that chance.

You dont notice me.

I understand if you just dont love me enough.
Could you just pretend?
When I walk by you, try to look up.
Have a little mercy on the heart you were given.

Please notice me.

You no longer wipe the tears from my eyes.
Where do I begin with everything I must undo?
Im still living as if youre what keeps me alive.
Where did I go wrong in loving you?

Wont you notice me?
