someday you'll see that i'm a mess
causing you a great deal of stress
each day you wake you'll be loving me less
tomorrow you'll be yesterday's news
and i'll be leaving you with the blues
now you cherish the words that i say
but soon the sweetness will drift away
for it's only part of the game i play
you say no other man could fill my shoes
still i'll be leaving you with the blues
tommorow you'll be the last person i'm thinking of
it seems fitting to hurt the ones i love
cause this mask fits my face like a glove
but your heart will heal, darlin' it's only a bruise
and i'm sorry that im leaving you with the blues
