I want, so much, to tell you
The feelings that I hide,
and the only thing that is stopping me,
is something deep inside.
My biggest fear of what I hide,
is that you will not say,
the three little words I've waited for,
and still wait for today.
I think you know a part of this,
but we've only just begun.
I now lie in wait to catch you,
in this web that we have spun.
At first,"just friends" was fine with me,
And that worked for a while.
And then "best friends" was working out,
until our trip to the isles.
When you were with me there,
and we sat under the sunset,
I swore that you were the one,
that makes me, my sorrows, forget.
You've turned my world around,
and you are all I see.
Yet, I wonder if you'll ever,
See that part of me.
I want, so much, to show you,
the feelings deep inside,
but you will never see,
My feelings that I hide!

| I love these types of poems. Heart bursting top let out all of the pent up feelings. Give it a chance by letting it out and see where it goes. A leap of faith is not easy, but well worth it if the feelings are returned. Great write...Mike |
