Remember the times so long ago
When you sat me down
And said
These are the things
You must know!
Above all,
Be honest
Be just
Be kind
Our time is short
And full of strife
So live compassionately
In order to have a meaningful life
Keep your faith in God
For He will be there
When all are gone
And life seems full of despair
Papa, I want you to know
I have tried to live by these rules
And your wisdom are now my tools
