A Palette of Words

Contributed by justme03 on Wednesday, 1st February 2006 @ 06:10:10 PM in AEST
Topic: abstract

Mystical representations
of fingerpaint art.
Inspired visions in your head.
Complicated allegories written
in colorful hues.
The Art,
the Nightmare,
the Growing passion.
The Suffering,
the Tornado
of tainted love,
of colors on the pallette
The ANGST!
Splotches of red-

fiery motions, labeled as a stigmatized
devil with vulgar premonitions.
Marked by blood on your forehead,
the shadows cannot escape you.
Streaks of yellow-

smeared, smother the fire,
inescapable hunger.
Forced entry of happiness,
haphazardly throwing away your life
Precariously standing on the edge,
cracked ledge.
Blue fire burning bright-

cold and lifeless we die tonight.
Painted ruby glowing red,
purple petals, lush and supple.

Drenched in the sorrow, tears of blue.
Burning in the licking flames of red.
Basking in the mellow sun of yellow.
Laying naked in the luscious grass of green.

Mixing formalities with the reckless
Straying afar from the land of laws
Falling deep into an artistic dream
Painting realms of unreal things.

Calloused hands, a calm temperament.
Artistic, linguistic, realistic, a mystic.

A sculptor of words!
A poet paints the world,
an artist tells a story,
an author sings a song,
a musician makes you dance.
You dancing is your words
when your lips dare not move.
Give me a little color.
Paint your world.
Hold on a little longer and
let your dreams become unfurled.

~Kortnie~

OMG....... I am speechless......I can't find the right words to explain how this poem made me feel. This is probably the very BEST poem you have written to date. :$

I really enjoyed this poem.

Sucked in by the imagery, held by the verse.

Very well written palette for the artist in us all.
