No, not for me
For I have seen the darkness of the hall
The echo of the call of a voice
I see is mine but can't recognize
I have felt the inexplicable shame
When a stranger turns a corner as I was doing
a thing of strangeness
The security of sitting, paying attention
Seems to be enough for me
I take in teacher's lessons and do what is
expected of me
And yet, it is not for me
There is not my name written on a debate card
Sitting in front of me waiting to be read
There is not my name on the sheet of numbers
Turned in with a smile
I wish I had no abilities, the freedom of misbehavior
Giving time to sort out myself
Instead of running along trying to hide
The passions within, yet unknown
