In my minds eye
I watch that child
all alone
I watch her cry.
In my minds eye
I watch him touch her
All alone she cries
Makes herself bleed again.
In my minds eye
I see them
high again
and she tries to run again.
In my minds eye
I watch her grow
not to a woman;
but an unwanted child.
In my minds eye
she breaks down
lieing on her back
willingly now.
In my minds eye
she lays there
not with one,
but with many men.
In my minds eye
she must be high
just so she can do this job
again and again.
In my minds eye
she takes another hit
sniffs another line
lays with another guy.
In my minds eye
she cries again
slits her wrists again
gets high again.
In my minds eye
she ends her life
that which never
even began.
Outside my minds eye
I live this life
away from the future
I was meant to live in.
I live a life that wasn't meant to begin.
