Skin a lie

Contributed by desolated_denial on Saturday, 11th February 2006 @ 11:49:49 PM in AEST
Topic: abstract

Rusting silver, L is for secret lies
You think you are getting away with them?
I noticed,
I made excuses, throw your signs of trust in my face
Tell me once more that you've never given me a reason,
While another white lie shades my vision black
You have the advantage
You knew,
You knew I would never turn my back
So you whipped that back, and mocked it's cowardice
Three thorns holding it's heart in place,
the surface tarnishing,
the beauty long forgotten.
Once more my heart expands as poisonous gas claspes it in a slivery embrace.
Rusting symbol, L is for love that you still don't believe you have
a T for tears in the garden of Oz.
Panic,
Panic,
spread your lies to your paid confidante
Allow him to give you words of nothing
Lie to me,
then take it back
and then lie about the withdrawal.
I've noticed
I always knew,
I just never allowed myself to be aware.
Women are futile things,
play them around your fingertips like out of tune playthings with only three strings.
God, help me
This ...
This is what desperation is.
I've felt it all of my life,
Even god tells white lies

very interesting. a little hectic, but none the less a very powerful and deep meaning. the last few lines may make certain people uneasy, however i believe that the point is clearly expressed. well done
