THE LEPRECHAUN

Topic: InspirationalPoems

Have you ever seen or talked to a real leprechaun?
Some say that they are a figment of our imagination or just a curious myth.
I believe there are leprechauns for I have met one, just as there is length and width.

It was a bit strange I must admit, but I know for certain that this was not by fate or destiny.
I would call our meeting a blessing of a lifetime.
I know there must be others, that is leprechauns, in the world, but I know only one magical in rhyme.

He is funny, sensitive, giving, very smart, with so many amazing facts in his head, and I must say he is very cute.
This leprechaun is the most amazing indeed that I have ever met.
Some may think that leprechauns are selfish and ugly inside and out, but I assure you, if all are like the one I know, they are far the most generous of all mankind ever sent.

Wherever this leprechaun may go, he shines like a star, brightening everyone's world.
I tell you truly, that he has shown me his pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
I have seen it with mine own eyes, and touched it lightly so.

I cannot or should not tell one, not one where his gold is.
For I have in my heart and soul, a promise made to him.
The gold he has shared with me is of himself, something that one could have, but not on a whim.

Now, I can tell you this, the leprechaun doesn't mind me telling you about who he is or what he is really about.
I could never tell you like I said before, where his pot of gold lies.
Hopefully, you will meet a leprechaun, loyal and true, for there never will be goodbyes.
