'Its a guy thing baby'

Contributed by poetic_influence on Tuesday, 14th February 2006 @ 10:26:41 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

A black heart
Full of pain and lies
I should have known from the start
That you would soon say goodbye
But to my concience I hadn't listened
For "I" believed in us
Didnt know what I was missing
Because you had fooled my trust
You captured my eyes so all I saw was you
You sealed my mouth so I could never say "We're through"
I ignored all of your faults
Such a hard thing to do...you know
Locked them away in my "Should have known better" vault
Too afraid to let that pain show
I thought that you were a good man
I guess I was ...oh so wrong
Instead of walking away I should have ran
And then you would have been ..oh so gone
But instead you are here
Sleeping in my bed ..layin on my couch
And pointless words are all that I hear
And you'll deny the facts even if I vouch
That wasnt me...your famous line
Heard it so much
That it just consumes my mind
You tell me
"Its a guy thing baby, you know I love you"
Yea thats what you tell me
But none of it is true
I could be so happy
with a man so great
But instead I stand with nothing happening
You have sealed my fate
A strong woman left shackled and used
I cannot do this
So emotionally abused
I WILL NOT DO IT
I am out of that door
And kiss that remarkable sex goodbye
Because you can't have it anymore

Oh I have so been there. Five years I wasted not being strong enough to walk out. When I finally did, life truly began and my whole outlook changed in life. I have a wonderful caring man now that takes care of me, my feeling and needs and I try my best to reciprocate. We deserve the best and we should not settle for any less than that.

Great write,
Rita

All of this at 18 WOW and you are expecting a baby....must be some rough times. I do not know...because at 18 I was taking care of my mother who was dying of cancer, I was in nursing school, engaged to be married (still lived at home, I grew up where you didn't live with someone till you were married....religion and all.LOL) Sounds like you are not giving yourself the chance to be a child....I wish you well. Peace, Laura
