how i wish
that i could see
the world the way
it's meant to be
without the hate
without the pain
with clear skies
instead of rain
but alas, instead
i remain here
where everyone lives
in such fear
where tears never cease
to fall to the ground
and by greed
we are all bound
how i wish
this world knew peace
and all the hate
will come to cease
but that's a hope
which died long ago
this world's still sad
still full of woe
