Take You From Me

Death can not take you from me
For you live inside my mind
Your memory will never fade
With the passing of time
Your smile is still as vivid
As the light from the sun
And youre still shining like a diamond
When the day is done
Death can not take you from me
I refuse to let you go
You own the biggest part
Of my heart and my soul
You presents is still around me
I can feel you everywhere
Guiding my every move
Calming my every fear
Death can not take you from me
It doesnt have the power
You control my thoughts
Of every minute of every hour
Youve never left my side
You took residence in my heart
Healing me all the while
I make a brand new start

A very good poem. I like the way it begins with sadness, carries the sadness throughout the whole piece, but ends with hope.
