Pretty Poems

Ive tried writing pretty poems,
Ive tried, Ive really tried
but every single time I do
my other, darker, side
takes over .....
and soon I write
of ghoulies and ghosties,
of hatred and of spite.
A terrible rage burns,
murderous feelings start,
then I begin to think of you
and vengeance fills my heart.
My head becomes so full
of the nasty things Ill do,
of how youll squirm and scream and kick,
whilst I am killing you.
Then the men in the nice white coats
stick needles in my arm
and my world becomes a place of peace
and I become so calm
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Far, far, far to the East,
past the land of the Junga Beast;
past Mount Gimbals snowy heights;
the Purple Desert and the Sea of Lights.
There, hidden away from prying eyes,
in the very, very middle of the Forest of Sighs,
theres a secret clearing stained blood red
in which you lay, cold and dead.

I found this to be quite interesting. My
favourite part was definitely the last 4 lines in
the second stanza. Good write and I can
definitely relate to not being able to write
"pretty" poems.
