Bittersweet Midnight

Sitting here, random thoughts fill my mind. Memories like ghosts, haunt me, at midnight. Pictures on my desk, happier days so long ago. Where are you now? Now, that I'm missing you so. Like midnight, my emotions are bittersweet. And though I try to deny it, I'm missing you. The times we shared, you and I, will never leave me. I secretly hold them close at times like this. And you will never know, how bittersweet this midnight, of mine is. Or how I'm still loving you.

The title drew me in . . .
what a wonderful piece of suffering this is, (if it's alright to
say that). I have felt this before and you have penned the
emotion flawlessly. Yes. Bittersweet Midnight indeed!
Well done.
