In The Moment Of Silence...

Contributed by eternal_dreamer on Friday, 24th February 2006 @ 07:09:02 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

In The Moment Of Silence

Im a shattered little piece
A fragment of your past
I lay in emotional turmoil
After been broken at last

You used and abused me
I lived with your lies
Eyes dispense hot tears
I wished theyd subside

Im ceasing to exist
For reality now hits
Falling to the floor
I shatter into bits

Strewn all over the ground
Sharded and beyond repair
Happy memories of long ago
Only adding to the despair

In the moment of silence
Time shall suddenly stand still
For my battered torn heart
To piece together its will

Very tragic. It is inevitable that the truest hearts shall be broken, I fear. I feel so deeply sorrowful and sympathetic to your dilemma. I too have had my heart neglected and stomped on many times over. Sometimes it makes me a cold bitter person. I hope in your case that does not last, as it rarely does for me.

The heart of the romantic is bound to find another. Sometimes the road seems longer than it actually is. I know you will find he who will become your lover peace. Until then, the hell with this jerk ( I hate to use Man on High's) comments but I completely agree. Games are played usually by those who do not know how to play them. You see a true romantic sees romance as a battle or a war, but does not pit the person he or she is romancing as the foe. They pit themselves, the things that they do not like within themselves. Love is a battle within extended to another without. This person was simply playing a game they do not know how to play. Hearts are not broken in battle. Battle is graceful and delicate. It is a game that hearts are broken in. Games tease, neglect, and when you win the game the spoils are rarely as rewarding as we fantasize them to be.

Move on dear lady, you will find your warrior. Leave the games with those who do not know how to play.

Your work here is captivating, so delicately heart breaking and tragic. You use a great rhythm, and style, complimenting that with well woven words. An astounding, yet heart breaking write!

Take care.

- SCM

Sue, there is no pain greater than that of a broken heart. Such a sad write but you will find that special someone to hold your heart with tender hands and mend it. you are right "to piece together it will".............Mike

There are a lot of broken couples for many reasons.. the best thing you can do is to find a wonderful counselor.. one who knows how to give sound advice in the area you need to be taken care of.. and who can help you through in order to help yourself get stronger..choose one of your own faith, beliefs..you are a very beautiful person, you can offer so much more elsewhere.. we cannot make anyone do anything, it is their choice.. so also it is our choice.. list your priorities.. what do you want to happen, then go after it.. I pray you well my dear sweet friend.. hugs.. raquelLeah

Dearest, sweet Susie Q!!

How desperately tragic for you to find your heart the victim
of someone's cruel amusement. Obviously, he did not
deserve you, (although, I know, I KNOW) that brings a trite
relief. I am sorry this happened to you, dear girl, but you
know, (more than most) how I positively relate to this.
Always here for you sweetie.

Wonderfully written and with amazing emotion!

*love and hugs to you*

"The heart is a fragile thing. Once broken it's
hard for it to mend."

Oh that is true and I must say its good to be
back and be enlightened by brilliant poets
such as yourself. I thought this poem was
great and of course I can relate to it. I thought
the ending of the poem was really powerful
and added to the overall effect of the poem.
Personally, the last 6 lines of this write were
my favourite. Great job!

Sue, I hope this is a crafted piece from the imagination of a fantastic writer and not from your reality. If it's from reality, I wanna do somethin' like break the guy's neck! Wonderful write.
