TRYING TO FIND A WAY TO LET GO

The relationship has come to an end
and there is nothing more that we can mend
we are simply going through the motions of love
and to let go is all i can think of
but neither of us wants to be the one
to be the blame because its come undone
i will always have a love for him in my heart
but staying together is tearing us apart
on the inside we both know
that there is no more of loves glow
but i will take the blame because i know its me
that i cant love him the way he needs to be
when we first started we were both consumed
because our love was new and in bloom
and now time has taken its toll on his heart
we tried and God knows he did his part
the silence between us is so loud i can hear
everything he wants to say loud and clear
empty promises is what we make to one another
because we at one point truly loved eachother
i have the strength to walk away
but i won't if he wants me to say
but to look in his eyes and not see
the traces of love he use to have for me
to hear in his voice the struggle for a conversation
instead of what was once joy and elation
everything we felt seems to be no more
i just think its time to close that door
but i know in my heart we loved each other so
and that its just time to let go
and when the door finally closes and it will
only then will the reality us being over be real

| alot of words, questions... there a lot of things that dont kill you and for sure dont make you stronger... also, why does everything happen for a reason... what everything just happens? |
