Dear friend,
yes our relationship has come to an end
never will I see you again
by this I am still deeply saddened
and I know I must go on-
but if you only knew
the pain and agony I go through
how hard it would be, I did not know
and how difficult it would be in letting you go-
over and over again I go through it in my mind
after loving me so deeply why you suddenly wanted to say goodbye
I know I expressed mixed emotions
but the bottom line is....
I cant breath, I dont want to sing
no matter how hard I try to say good bye
I often wake up in the middle of the night
with you impressed upon my mind
and when the morning arises
I dont want to open my eyes
I wake up with a pain imbedded deep inside
it hurts so bad, that out of my bed I dont want to arise
but somehow I do-
and everyday I make it through
but I cant live this way
God must take the pain away
yes, I have let you go and left you alone
many things I said I know
out of hurt and pain and betrayal
but this I wish you would know
I am sorry I did not mean them at all
it is my wish tonight
that I can blow this apology with a kiss in the sky
and that the wind will pick it up
and blow it past the hills and dust
make its way through the miles
and reach its way through to your smile
and warm your heart and soul
onward I go-
as Im haunted by the memories of the love you did show-
