SHOWERING IN HIS BLOOD

Showering in his blood
I wash clean from the hardening mud
Its like Im standing in the pouring rain
Only instead, it's his blood; I'm being washed clean
Crying out for all repentance
The Saviors atonement washes away all my sins Going back to his Gethsemane
Watching him suffer just for me Gripping his fists so tight
I watch him suffer the same inside Tears streaming down his face
I watch him make the ultimate sacrifice for grace Standing still in the rain pouring blood
Lightening strikes and thunder crashes from up above
Surrounded in this out pour
Of this very storm
I see him on the cross
Already beaten and abused he was
I study him intensely
Trying to understand what he is feeling
He cried out to God to forgive his enemies
I now know he was even crying out for me
Though with great love I feel for him
I haven't always let him in
Now suffering with my own physical pains
I'm brought down to my knees
Falling to the ground
As the lightning strikes me down
A shock runs through my body
With the highest voltage of electricity
Becoming paralyzed
All I can move are my eyes
Coming to me, I see the savior
Clothed in all white that is so pure
I saw his hands
For he showed me the nail prints
Tears streaming down my face. ..
I felt him heal me with his grace
Tears dropped from his eyes
Washing away all my cries
Go and sin no more
Be ye clean for I have washed your every pour
Feeling light as a feather
I stand up suddenly feeling better
I cry out he healed me! He healed me!
I am clean for he washed me clean.

A touching poem to the hope of Christ. It's hard to remember it, sometimes, but it's the stuff Life is made from, isn't it?

the formatting of this poem makes me very upset. somehow, i pasted it down wrong, and didnt realize it...
"crying out for all repentance
the saviors atonement washes away all my sins
going back to his gathsemane
watching him suffer just for me
griping his fists so tight
i watch huim suffer the same inside
tears streaming down his face
i watch him make the ultimate sacrifice for grace
standing still in the rain pouring blood
lightening strikes & thunder crashes from above"
it makes allot more sence and runs allot smoother, this is suppose to be how its formatted.
sorry, it just upset me and doesnt stop bugging me because this is one of my favorite poems ive written. someday i will get the dough to sign up so i can fix it:)
shanna
