I met you almost three years ago
Known you for less than six months
And truelly loved you for almost three
It's funny how the time has passed
Months have dripped past so slow
...but almost in the blink of an eye
How is it possible that we've grown so close?
I wasn't looking for a best friend
And I know that you weren't either
But today, when I saw you looming above my locker
I felt such imense relief -such happiness
Because it meant that you were here
And somehow, that helped make things better
